My name is Noah. Like many reading this, I was introduced to fly fishing by my dad and my uncle. Even at seven years old, I fell in love with the art of the cast, the drift, and the connection to the water. Before I even graduated high school, I had already fly fished across New Mexico and Colorado, but nothing could have prepared me for the waters of my now home, Montana. After high school, I joined the military, which gave me the opportunity to explore the rivers and the landscapes of Big Sky Country. Later, I became a state trooper stationed in Havre, Montana. That’s where I learned that warm water species might actually be more fun to fish for anyway (haha). Eventually, I transitioned into the fly fishing industry, joining The House of Fly and The Fly Project. Like any good fly employee, I started on the shop floor, earned my place, and made a name for myself. Over time, though, I started noticing something. While the industry is built on tradition, it’s behind in so many ways. In guiding, operations, and outfitter business strategies, I saw room for growth.
That’s how N.O.A. was born. With a lifetime on the water and experience in every corner of the industry, I help outfitters and guides take their businesses to the next level while staying true to the roots of fly fishing.
